These spicy meatballs are boldly flavored with our pineapple hot sauce, cumin, paprika, and cayenne. The sauce is awesome with our Solar Flare hot sauce, and you can serve these meatballs over regular or cauliflower rice, as an entree or even as a crowd-pleasing appetizer at your next holiday party!

Tomato Sauce
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon minced fresh garlic
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon sweet paprika
1 teaspoon ground cumin
¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
3 chopped tomatoes, or two 15oz cans diced tomatoes, undrained

1 lb. 85% lean ground beef
1 teaspoon Diamond Crystal kosher salt
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon sweet paprika
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon ground coriander
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper

Prepare the tomato sauce:
In a wide, heavy saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat, about 3 minutes.
Add the garlic and cook 1 minute.
Add the spices, hot sauce and cook, stirring, 30 seconds.
Add the chopped tomatoes. Bring to a boil, then lower heat and simmer for 10 minutes.

Prepare the meatballs:
In a medium bowl, use your hands to mix the meat, spices and hot sauce.
Divide into 24 equal portions (each weighs about 20 grams) and shape into small, 1-inch meatballs.
Heat the vegetable oil in a saucepan and lightly fry the meatballs.

Add the fried meatballs to the tomato sauce. Turn heat to medium-high and bring to a boil, then lower heat back to medium-low, cover and simmer for 30 minutes.

...and ENJOY!
